Mike collaborated with Grammy winner Alanis Morissette to write new songs for her Jagged Little Pill musical, which debuted on Broadway in December 2019. Mike and Alanis wrote the 2 new songs in the show, Smiling and Predator. The new musical (written by Diablo Cody) became a hit in 2018 and was the highest grossing production ever at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In addition, Alanis and Mike have co-written her new record, Such Pretty Forks In The Road, which comes out May1, 2020. That album includes Reasons I Drink, seen here as performed on Jimmy Fallon.
