Mike collaborated with Grammy winner and rock icon Alanis Morissette to write new songs for her Jagged Little Pill musical, which debuted on Broadway in December 2019.  Mike and Alanis wrote the 2 new songs in the show, Smiling and Predator. 

The new musical, written by Diablo Cody, became a hit in 2018 and was the highest grossing production ever at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Following its debut on Broadway, the show received 15 Tony nominations, the second most for a musical in history after Hamilton.  In addition, the cast album recording (listen at right) is a 2021 Grammy nominee.
